Be the Bigger Person, Again: Women and the Burden of Harmony
Women are expected to forgive, accommodate, and keep the peace, often without apology or repair.
We call out what’s broken, biased, and overdue for change. Together, we dismantle myths, expose double standards, and shine light on the blind spots that keep inequality alive. Our goal isn’t outrage for its own sake, it’s clarity & the courage to say what others won’t.
We’ve been told to stay nice, to stay quiet, to accept the illusion of equal opportunity. We refuse. We challenge the narratives that silence us and distort our realities, drawing on evidence, lived experience, and collective insight to confront the status quo head-on.
We don’t smooth the edges or soften the message. We name hypocrisy, we reject the demand to stay polite when the stakes are high, and we tell the truths that may be uncomfortable but are necessary.
Change begins when we speak plainly. By calling things out, we reclaim the narrative and shift the culture. We invite others to reflect, respond, and rethink what they’ve been taught to accept. Together, we’re rewriting the rules of respect, resilience, and recognition.
